Abstract

We demonstrate electro-optic spectral tuning in an optical parametric oscillator employing a segmented periodically poled LiNbO3 (PPLN) crystal. The signal and idler waves obtained, are difference-frequency-mixed to produce mid-IR tunable from ~ 10.5 to ~ 9.4 µm.
