Generation of a 3-octave white-light continuum in a high-n2 microstructure fiber with normal dispersion in the visible/near-infrared spectral region

Abstract

A white-light continuum spanning from 200 nm to 1800 nm was generated in a microstructure optical fiber manufactured from a soft glass with high nonlinearity. The fiber exhibits normal dispersion throughout the vis/nir spectral region.
