Photoacoustic gas spectroscopy using a tunable solid state laser emitting around 2.4 μm

Abstract

We present the first trace-gas measurements using a novel Cr2+:ZnSe laser source emitting in the 2.4μm wavelength region. The detection limits are in the sub-ppmV to few pprnV range. Examples of measurements of ambient air are presented.
