UV Rayleigh lidar for measuring atmospheric temperature profiles of the troposphere

Abstract

A new scheme of UV Rayleigh scattering lidar has been developed for profiling daytime temperature distribution of the troposphere with a compact system. Measurement accuracy of 1-K was obtained at 2 -km in daytime.
