Induced second order nonlinearities at the ferroelectric domain walls in periodically poled KTiOPO4

Abstract

The magnitude and spatial distribution of second order nonlinearities induced by a static electric field in ferroelectric domain wall regions are characterized for periodically-poled KTiOPO4. The nonlinearities can be employed for characterizing quasi-phasematched structures.
