Abstract

Continuous-wave (cw) difference-frequency generation (DFG) in the infrared (5 - 11 μm) using LiInS2 and LiInSe2 crystals is reported. Type II (eoe) critically phase-matched DFG processes have been experimentally investigated. Spectral and angular tuning and conversion efficiencies are discussed.
