Abstract

In order to provide ideal light source for coherent laser radar, we designed z-fold electro-optically cavity-dumped RF excited waveguide CO2 laser with two channels. One channel served as transmitter laser include z-fold waveguide resonator with electrooptically modulated system can output cavity-dumped laser. The pulse width can be tuned from 18ns to 32ns. Another single channel used as local laser can output CW laser. The two channels are excited by the same RF source. This kind of structure has the advantages of high offset frequency stability, low cost, easy manufacturing and small size over two separated lasers.
