High-power end-pumped single-frequency Er:Yb:glass waveguide laser array

Abstract

We report on a high-power single-frequency end-pumped Er:Yb:glass waveguide laser array fabricated by ion-exchange technique on a 10-mm-long glass base. Two butt-coupled fiber-Bragg-gratings provide for the feedback. The linear cavity 1.5 µm laser emits 3.7-mW output power at 180 mW pump power.
