Abstract

We present add-drop-multiplexers for an operation wavelength around 1.55 µm, based on free standing silicon photonic crystal slabs. The wavelength selective add/drop is achieved by the tunneling between adjacent waveguides (line-defects) via resonant states (point-defects).
