Abstract

We report on the fabrication of periodically poled MgO doped stoichiometric lithium tantalate (MgO: PPSLT) for second harmonic generation with periods of 4.85 µm. In contrast to congruent PPLT this material provides efficient SHG at room temperature due to the strongly reduced photorefractivity.
