Study of the photo-physical behavior of ZnS-capped CdSe quantum dots with application to multi-photon microscopy

Abstract

We demonstrate a fluorescence yield increase of CdSe quantum dots of up to 53-times under illumination with a tightly focused femtosecond laser beam. Optical-spectra measurements reveal the photo-physical behavior on long time scales (seconds to hours).
