Image Processing Technique for Semi-Automatic Detection of Cartilage Boundaries on OCT images

Abstract

We used a cartilage boundary detection technique based on adaptive filtering, edge detection, and edge linking by graph searching. The quantitative measurements of cartilage thickness on OCT images correlated well with measurements from histology.
