A Novel Low-cost Tunable Laser Using a Tunable Liquid-Crystal Subwavelength Resonant Grating Filter

Abstract

A novel tunable external cavity laser based on liquid crystal subwavelength resonant grating filter is demonstrated with 7 nm tuning range and over 30 dB side mode suppression ratio. It also exhibits easy assembly, high output power, and good stability.
