Line-defect-waveguide-laser in 2D Photonic Crystal Slab

Abstract

We investigate lasing properties of a line-defect-waveguide laser formed in 2D photonic crystal slab. It is shown that a very wide tuning (~150nm) of lasing wavelength can be achieved by changing the waveguide width slightly.
