Spectral gain characteristics of an amplified hybrid Raman/EDFA 210 km link

Abstract

We vary the EDFA and Raman pump powers in a 210 km amplified link to obtain a parameter regime over which the gain tilt is nearly zero. The channel power can vary as much as 6 dB in this regime.
