Compact thin-rod Yb:YAG laser for high-average power pulse generation

Abstract

A diode end-pumped thin-rod Yb:YAG laser has been developed for high-average power oscillator and regenerative amplifier system. CW output power of 55W and pulse energy of 2.5 mJ were obtained.
