Abstract

The behavior of plasma/plume during laser ablation of green ceramic, resin and polyimide with Q-switched CO2 laser is studied wit h an ultra-fast CCD camera. The results suggested that the ablation of resin with the CO2 laser is a relatively low temperature process, compared with ablation of polyimide. The affects of an additional heating on the laser ablation of the resin, polyimide are studied and reported, as well.
