Abstract

A novel approach to generating 28.8 W 9-ps-pulses is presented. A compact Nd:YVO4 oscillator amplifier system can be used to generate 13.4 W UV-radiation at 355 nm, yielding an efficiency (808 nm to 355 nm) of 21.3%.
