High Repetition Rate Femtosecond Ti: sapphire Lasers Based on Four-element Cavities

Abstract

We demonstrate self-starting, modelocked, four-element cavity Ti: sapphire lasers that operate at 1-2GHz repetition rates. These lasers produce 260-fs pulses and have modelocking thresholds ~400mW.
