Filamentation of 1064nm femtosecond laser pulses propagating in air

Abstract

We report a filament generated by 1064nm, 2mJ-level femtosecond laser pulses propagating in air. A 2.8m-long filament was observed using femtosecond laser pulses from a multi-terawatt laser system based on optical parametric chirped pulse amplification.
