Abstract

A wavelength tunable Yb3+-double-clad fiber laser Q-switched by a Tm3+-codoping in the gain fiber is demonstrated experimentally. This system showed 2.4 W output power, up to 140 kHz repetition rate and 21.8 µJ pulse energy.
