Periodical twinning for quasi-phase-matched quartz

Abstract

We report an in-situ observation technique of twinning in crystal quartz and demonstrate periodic twins propagating in an anisotropic shape. The propagating direction was found to be parallel to the Y axis, which is different from the previous reports.
