E-Band Fiber Raman Amplifier in Non-Zero Dispersion Fiber

Abstract

An E-band fiber Raman amplifier in non-zero dispersion fiber is demonstrated with a 39dB peak gain. Gain fiber water absorption is not observed to significantly hinder amplification. Such a device could extend the telecommunications bandwidth.
