Abstract

Fiber amplifiers are the most important components in high capacity WDM system. Recently, due to Raman fiber amplifiers’s (RFAs) distinctive flexibility in bandwidth designs and growing maturity of high power pump module technologies, 1,2,3 RFAs is the most attractive candidate in WDM systems, especially in S-band applications.
