Abstract

The key requirements for practical near-infrared to UV wavelength range sources based on fibre lasers and frequency up conversion in periodically poled crystals are controlled wavelength stability, narrow linewidth, and high intensity fundamental radiation, which implies using pulsed format fibre sources.
