Abstract

We report the use of highly elliptical pump beams to generate broadband mid-infrared (IR) light in nanosecond-pulsed periodically poled lithium niobate (PPI.N) optical parametric generators (OPGs) and monolithic optical parametric oscillators (OPOs).
