Abstract

We demonstrate the first narrow-band 193 nm source using eighth harmonic generation from the output of an Er-doped fiber amplifier at 1547nm. Conversion efficiency from the fundamental, 1547nm, to 193nm is 7.0%. To our knowledge, this represents the highest conversion efficiency ever achieved for 193nm generation by frequency conversion.
