Abstract
The case of weak, symmetric dispersion management has so far been restricted to theoretical and numerical simulation work.1,2 Here, for the first time to our knowledge, we investigate experimentally the use of such a map con-sistingof positive and negative sections of nonzero dispersion-shifted fiber (NZDSF) for transoceanic 10-Gbit/s dispersion managed soliton transmission.
