Abstract

The diode-laser pumped, cw laser presented in this paper is being developed for use as a high power slave in an injection-locked laser system,1 for the detection of gravitational waves in long baseline interferometry. It is a very compact Nd:YAG slab laser (see Fig. 1), based on a crystal geometry developed by Richards and Mclnnes.2
