Abstract

With the increasing complexity of optical modules, there is a need for integrating various active and passive devices on a single substrate to increase the functionality of optical chips. In our previous papers,1,2 we have demonstrated a platform technology called passive active resonant coupler (PARC) for monolithically integrating active and passive devices.
