Abstract

Fibre gratings have found wide acceptance as a main component for many applications in fibre-optic communications, ranging from simple in-line all-fibre optical filters to sensing systems.1 The main advantage of gratings as fibre devices is that they can be tailored to provide desired spectral characteristics.2
