Abstract

Recently, it was shown that quasi-stationary pulses known as the "noise-like" pulse operation in a ring fiber laser can generate broadband optical spectrum for Bragg grating sensor array interrogation1 and supercontinuum with an optical spectrum width in excess of 150 nm (FWHM).2
