Abstract

Optical phase conjugation (OPC) via four-wave mixing using plasma gratings has been reported previously in semiconductors such as Ge and GaAs in which the spatially varying free-carrier densities formed by the interfering optical fields create the refractive-index gratings responsible for OPC.
