Abstract
We demonstrate, for the first time, we believe, hologram fixing in potassium lithium tantalate niobate (KLTN) by photorefractive domain switching. KLTN is a photorefractive material with a perovskite structure. In our experiments we used a monodomain sample with a phase transition at 25°C. The sample was 7×6 ×2 mm, cut along the crystallographic axes, polished optically, and had electrodes evaporated on the 2×6 mm faces. Experiments were performed on a stable temperature mount enclosed in a vacuum chamber.
