Abstract

Microchip lasers are promising sources of single-frequency laser radiation and short pulses. We have studied the operation and limitations of such devices based on Nd:YVO4 at 1342 and, 1064 nm and in the green at 532 nm through the second-harmonic generation of the 1064-nm device.1
