Subpicosecond pulse propagation over long distances in optical fibers

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

High-bit-rate communications require ultrashort light pulses, but they have specific restrictions. The limits imposed by various effects on the long-distance propagation of certain subpicosecond solitary waves in monomode optical fibers were studies.
