Abstract

In this contribution we report on the first operation of a cw mode-locked AgGaSe2-OPO. One of the most attractive features of this OPO is the wide tuning range which extends from 1.8 μm to 12 μm. The AgGaSe2 -OPO is synchronously pumped by the 1.55 μm signal radiation of a cw mode-locked Nd:YLF-laser-pumped KTP-OPO which generated up to 4 W average power (76 MHz repetition rate) with a pulse length of 40 ps[1].
