Abstract
The development of high power carbon monoxide laser is required for pursuing more efficient and precise machining or welding. In order to enhance oscillation power, various versions of CO lasers have been extensively employed, with combinations of pulsed or cw excitation, fast-axial or fast-transverse flow, and axial or transverse discharge.1,2 Among these a quite powerful CO laser system, achieving 150-200 W of output power with a discharge length of 30 cm has been recently reported,3.
