Abstract

Diffractive and refractive UV optical components, as well as some specialized components that are impractical to fabricate by traditional methods, can be constructed by using continuous-mask photolithography and replication. Two of these specialized optical components, including distributed phase plates (DPPs) and static phase correctors (SPCs) are being implemented on the 60-beam OMEGA laser system. DPP's are optical elements that use continuous surface-relief profiles for shaping the far-field-intensity distribution of high-power laser beams.
