Abstract
The Van der Lugt optical correlator is a well-known example of the potential capabilities of a system using light in a medium with a strong third order optical nonlinearity to process information contained in two-dimensional images.1-2 We describe an optical image correlator using milliwatt beams in Cs vapor.
