Abstract

To increase efficiency of rare-earth solid- state lasers the energy transfer processes from co-doping sensitizer ions to rare-earth ions are widely used. In this paper the possibility of Er3+ ions fluorescence sensitization due to Ce3+ ions in Y3Al5O12 (YAG) and Gd3Ga5O12 (GGG) crystals, and due to Cr4+ ions in Y2SiO5 (YSO) and Gd3Sc2Al3O12 (GSAG) crystals is investigated.
