Abstract
Recently, all optical clock recovery using a self-pulsing laser has attracted considerable attention for the development of all optical communication system. All-optical clock recovery from 3.2 Gbit/s optical data1 and high frequency locking at 18 GHz2 are already demonstrated. However, there is no theoretical work for the frequency looking and the optical clock recovery. In this paper we report the theoretical analysis of optical clock recovery by using a self-pulsing semiconductor laser for the first time.
