Abstract

Recently, a study of a C60 duster consisting of sixty carbon atoms attracted much interest. The nonlinear optical characters have been reported.1,2 in our experiment, the optical limiter with lowest threshold origin from excited triple-state in C60 solution have been measured.3 In this paper, we reported that the picosecond nonlinear response time was measured by time delayed incoherent photon echo, and the nonlinear optical characters of C60 were studied by the sensitive z-scan technique; the reverse absorption and nonlinear refraction can be separated by this method.
