Abstract
Phase conjugate optical injection is an effective method for coherent coupling of semiconductor laser diodes.1 The photorefractive BaTiO3 crystal has been typically used to generate the phasematching condition via two-beam coupling, because of its efficient nonlinear response at 600–900 nm. A four-wave mixing geometry is set up through the interaction of incident and fanned beams, with constructive interference of competing gratings forming a double-phase conjugate mirror (DPCM).
