Abstract

Quasi-phase-matched (QPM) second-harmonic generation (SHG) is a promising technique for generating efficient blue source for optical storage and laser printer applications. In this scheme, the shape and the period of the inverted domains are critical to achieve highly efficient SHG devices. Several methods have been employed to fabricate periodic domain inversion in LiNbO3, LiTaO3, and KTiOPO4.1-3
