Abstract

Continuous wave mode-locked optical parametric oscillators are ideal light sources for the generation of tunable ps und fs light pulses.1-3 Using a cw mode-locked Ti:Sapphire laser as the pump source, bandwidth limited pulses as short as 65 fs have been obtained from a KTP OPO, Pumping the same material with cw mode-locked radiation from a Nd:YLF laser tunable pulses with a pulse length around 1.5 ps were generated,4 corresponding, to a bandwidth of about 300 GHz or 10 cm1.
