Abstract

Self-pumped phase conjugation (SPPC) by near-forward simultaneous scattering of two intersecting laser beams was recorded recently in nematic liquid crystal (NLC) cells with both thermal1 and orientational2 nonlinearities. We have investigated the condition of SPPC for space heterogeneous laser beams in the absorber-admixed NLC-layer with a mirror.
