Abstract

In an effort to optimize the photorefractive response in organic materials, we have investigated single crystals of 4'-nitrobenzylidene- 3-acetamino-4-methoxyaniline (MNBA). MNBA was first proposed as an electro-optic and nonlinear optical material by Tsunekawa et al1,2 Its optical, electro-optic and nonlinear optical properties have been investigated in detail.3
