Abstract
Visible laser diodes are highly sought after for applications in medicine, printing, optical data storage, solid state laser pumping, illumination, and pointing. Progress in recent years has been rapid with continued increases in output power.1,2 Previously, we reported an output power of 8.5 W cw from an 8-mm monolithic array.1 In this paper we report cw output power of 20 W at an emission wavelength of 690 nm.
