Abstract

All-optical logic gates in waveguides have been demonstrated previously using a number of nonlinear phenomena including soliton dragging gates, loop mirrors and Kerr polarization rotation.1-3 In this paper we present a completely different approach to all-optical logic, namely the nonlinear response of a fiber rocking filter detuned from its resonance wavelength 4
